Why an app and not a website
A top nine is only as good as its inputs. A web page cannot read your posts, so every browser tool ends up asking you to pick photos — a collage, not a recap. The iPhone app does the part a browser cannot:
- It reads your published posts through an optional, read-only Creator or Business connection.
- It ranks them by likes, saves or comments, and shows the counters next to each tile.
- It designs the card with the year, totals, monthly rhythm and a palette sampled from your photos.
- It previews the next grid — nine tiles in real 3:4 ratio, before anything is posted.
What is inside
- Year recap — top 1, top 5 or top 9, one metric at a time; Story and Post exports.
- Grid preview & feed planner — drag your next posts into a 3 × 3 grid, compare two layouts, keep one.
- AI captions & creative tools — three caption options from your idea or your photos, on-device when possible and cloud only with consent.
- Post planning — palette of your first nine tiles, saved layouts, and the year recap when December comes.
Privacy, in one paragraph
Your photos and drafts stay on your iPhone. The Instagram connection is optional and read-only; Prevz never asks for your password and never posts for you. Cloud AI runs only after an explicit consent, before each request. Anyone can use the grid preview and the design tools without connecting an account.
Requirements
- iPhone, iOS 18 or later. Portrait on iPhone; iPad gets the full layout.
- Instagram Creator or Business account for the automatic recap — optional. Personal accounts can use the grid side.
- Free to try. Paid plans cover AI caption credits and multiple account workspaces.
App questions
Is there an official Instagram top nine app?
No. Instagram does not ship a top-nine or Wrapped feature. Prevz is a third-party iPhone app built for that job, and it is not affiliated with Instagram.
Does it need my Instagram login?
No. You authorise a read-only Creator or Business connection through Instagram's own flow; Prevz never sees your password.
Can I use it without connecting Instagram?
Yes for the grid preview, the themes and the design tools. The automatic recap — the part that ranks published posts — needs the optional connection.
Does it post for me?
No. Prevz exports images and text; you publish in Instagram yourself.
Is it free?
Free to download and free to try. Paid plans cover AI caption credits and multiple workspaces.
