What stays on your device
- Your photos and compositions. Imported photos, grid arrangements, crops, saved layouts, colour palettes, caption drafts, favourites and Story drafts are stored in the app's own storage on your iPhone.
- Exports. Images and text files are written to temporary folders and handed to the iOS share sheet or your photo library. You choose where they go.
- No cross-device sync. There is no Prevz cloud account and no synchronisation between devices. A backup of your iPhone includes the app's data as Apple defines it.
If you connect Instagram
Connecting an account is optional and limited to Instagram Creator or Business accounts, through Instagram's own login screen. Prevz asks for the basic profile scope and the insights scope needed to read your media and its counters.
- The connection is used to import your posts and read the statistics your year recap needs. It is never used to publish, follow, like or message.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted on the server that operates the integration, and the session on your iPhone is kept in the iOS Keychain.
- You can disconnect at any time in the app, and ask for your server account to be deleted. Local compositions stay on your device until you delete them.
When you ask for AI help
Captions and other generated text can come from two places:
- On-device. On supported iPhones, Apple's on-device model writes the captions locally. Photos are not sent anywhere for this.
- Cloud. When the cloud model is used, the app asks for your consent before each request and sends reduced copies of the photos you selected, plus your prompt. Nothing is sent automatically in the background.
Each generation consumes a quota — trial analyses, then monthly credits on a paid plan. A failed request is not billed.
Account and purchases
Sign in with Apple identifies your subscription across devices. Purchases are handled by Apple and validated through the subscription provider; Prevz never sees your payment details. Deleting your server account does not cancel an App Store subscription — that is managed in your Apple settings.
This website
The site you are reading is a static showcase. It does not set advertising cookies, does not run third-party analytics, and does not ask you to create an account. If you email us, we receive what you send and nothing else.

- Use Prevz without connecting any account: import photos and preview grids entirely offline.
- Decline AI consent and keep using every non-AI feature.
- Disconnect Instagram, delete local drafts, and request deletion of your server account from the app.
- Ask what is stored about you by writing to the address below.
