Pick the tone of your year.

01Grateful

  • 01Nine little squares, one big year.
  • 02Thank you for the likes, the comments and the 2 a.m. saves.
  • 03A year I'd scroll again.
  • 04Nine frames, and a lot of people to thank.
  • 05This grid is a thank-you note.
  • 06Same time next year?

02Self-deprecating

  • 07Nine photos I made you like.
  • 08The algorithm chose these. I just showed up.
  • 09A highlight reel with zero training.
  • 10Nine squares of evidence that I was online.
  • 11My year, cropped to 3:4.
  • 12I peaked in July. It's on the grid.

03Milestone

  • 13The year everything moved.
  • 14Nine posts, four cities, one grid.
  • 15The year I stopped planning and started posting.
  • 16Look how far the camera roll came.
  • 17Every frame is a before and after.
  • 18Started here, ended there. Nine frames between.

04Quiet year

  • 19A quiet year, kept in nine frames.
  • 20Not every year needs a montage.
  • 21Nine small things that made it.
  • 22The year I posted less and meant more.
  • 23Softly, steadily, still here.
  • 24A gentle grid for a gentle year.
Hashtags that still work: #topnine #bestnine #top9 #2026recap. Two or three is plenty — a wall of tags reads like a bot.

How to use one of these without sounding generic

A caption works when it says one specific thing about your year. The lines above are openers, not finished copy: add the one detail only you would know.

  • Keep the first line short. Instagram cuts the caption after about two lines in the feed — that first line is the whole caption for most people.
  • Name one moment. “The year everything moved” becomes yours with a city, a month, a person.
  • Don't explain the grid. Everyone knows what a top 9 is. Say something the grid doesn't already show.

Or let the app write three

The Caption Lab in Prevz drafts three options from your idea, your photos, or both — with the language and the tone you pick. Refine one option without touching the other two: shorter, more confident, less polished, or keep the meaning.

Generation runs on your iPhone when the model is available, and asks for consent before any cloud request. Nothing is sent in the background.

What to post, exactly

Story at 1080 × 1920, or a feed Post at 1080 × 1350. Export from Prevz, publish from Instagram. The app never posts for you.

Questions

Caption questions.

Does a caption matter for a top 9 post?

Less than the grid — people have already looked at the nine before reading — but the first line decides whether they stop. One short line beats a paragraph.

Can I use these captions anywhere?

Yes. They are plain sentences for your own post; adapt them freely. Nothing here is generated from someone else's account.

Can Prevz write the caption too?

Yes. The Caption Lab drafts three options per request — from an idea, from your photos, or both — then lets you refine one without touching the others.

Nine frames and a line.
